China bloodies bulletless borders
Bhat, Anil
China bloodies bulletless borders - New Delhi Pentagon Press LLP 2022 - 243p Hardbound
After the shock of upping the ante against the Indian Army in Sikkim in 1967 and losing short of 400 soldiers over some skirmishes, the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) pressed for resolving all territorial disputes by discussion/dialogue only and not by using force or firearms against each other.
This book describes with details and analysis the problematic process of bullet-less border management by the Indian Army against the PLA, politically indoctrinated by the megalomanic, hegemonic and devious Communist Party of China.
It is a saga of over half a century of the PLA’s intrusions/transgressions on an almost daily basis across a very long disputed border without it deciding/declaring claim lines and constantly shifting the goalposts. In 2020, during the corona pandemic, it committed a second aggression injuring over a hundred and killing 20 Indian Army personnel with medieval barbaric weapons and thereby breaking every Sino-Indian peace agreement.
