The state has also achieved good progress on the human development front.Despite this progress, since the second half of the 90s the state has been witnessing economic decline. This is attributed to the deceleration of industrial and public investment and relative neglect of agriculture. It is hoped that this book will be of great use to the state government, policy-makers, academia and the corporate sector.
