Material type: TextSeries: The IUP Journal of Information Technology Vol XV (2) ; Vol XV (2). Description: 47-59 pSubject(s): In: MURTHY, E N INFORMATION TECHNOLOGYSummary: A lot of emphasis in the present times is on transiting towards student-centric learning which aids in creating authentic student experiences by engaging them in higher order thinking as compared to traditional instructional teaching in classrooms. A knowledge of how students engage in digital learning tools can play a vital role in managing and leveraging technology for enhancing the student learning. Studies on the effect of the usage of digital technology on the academic performance and subsequent placement of the students graduating from higher education institutions are very limited. This study explores the impact of the usage of digital learning tools on the academic performance and placement package of the students. This exploratory study involved primary data analysis of 240 students enrolled and passed out from two years’ business management course in a B-school in India. Academic performance is strongly correlated with the time spent on digital learning tools. However, a very weak and insignificant correlation is observed between the time spent on digital learning tools and the final placement package received. The regression model is significant for the impact of usage of digital learning tools on the academic performance of the students (adjusted R2 = 0.659). However, the model is not significant (adjusted R2 = –0.004) for the impact of usage of digital learning tools on the placement package received by the students.Item type | Current library | Call number | Vol info | Status | Notes | Date due | Barcode | Item holds | |
