About the Book
The book is drawn upon the authors personal experience from teaching, research and consultancy in organisations such as State Bank of India, Life Insurance Corporation, Indian Oil Corporation, IBP, Voltas and many others in the field of organisational development. The chapters discuss several dimensions of change: diagnosis, planning, strategy, implementation and developing organisational culture. It includes two detailed cases in which the author was involved to illustrate how ideas discussed in the chapters are used in developing a co-operative environment for change. Organisational development is not only meant for a loosing and sick organization. Additionally, it is an exercise to ensure that the internal organization is creatively responsive to changes in competitive global markets. This is the perspective of this book.
