Material type: TextDescription: 128-140 pSubject(s): In: SAGE PUBLICATIONS JOURNAL OF HEALTH MANAGEMENTSummary: The present study examines the impact of demographic variables (age, gender, education and marital status) and employment-related factors (number of years worked for current organization, nature of work and total work experience) on perception of reasons for being loyal. Ineson, Benke and László (2013, International Journal of Hospitality Management, 32, 31–39) have given 21 items for measuring the perception of reasons for being loyal. For this study, response has been taken from 100 middle- and lower-level employees of National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH) accredited hospitals in Uttarakhand, India. ANOVA and independent samples t-test are performed to analyse the data. The results of the study exhibit that reasons for employee loyalty do not have significant mean difference with respect to employees’ gender, age and education. However, significant mean difference does exist with respect to employees’ marital status. In addition to this, it is concluded that there is no significant difference in the mean scores of reasons for employee loyalty and employment-related factors with respect to total work experience, but significant mean difference does exist with respect to number of years worked for current organization and nature of work in NABH accredited hospitals in Uttarakhand, India.Item type | Current library | Call number | Vol info | Status | Notes | Date due | Barcode | Item holds | |
